Eco friendly hand crafted furniture using traditional methods of joinery. We have completed the transition to be 100% committed to the use of reclaimed materials. Our sources include materials taken from deconstructed building such as barns and outbuildings, old telephone poles. We also get an array of woods native to the upper Midwest that are harvested as part of urban salvage, storm damage and disease for example. We offer a wide variety of local softwoods such as white and red pine, spruce, fir, and cedar. Hardwoods from MN, IA, WI, IL, MI and MO include white oak, elm, tamarack, walnut, butternut, cherry and maple. I do my own designs and can work with you to develop your dream piece custom fitted for your space.
My work features traditional mortise and tenon joints, hand dovetailed drawers, hand chamfered panels for doors and drawer bottoms and wood pegs to hold it all together. Most of my work is done with hand tools, no high end manufacturing methods so the work looks and is hand crafted throughout.
